Glovo, from Barcelona to half of Europe
Glovo was born in Barcelona in 2015 and operates in Spain, Italy, Portugal, much of Eastern Europe and parts of Africa. It delivers far more than food, and charges restaurants a percentage of each order, plus extra for promoted positions.
The Spanish restaurant's case
In Spain, many restaurants already deliver with their own staff or rely on takeaway. For those orders, an own ordering channel removes the commission entirely. And for terraces full of tourists, a QR menu in six languages lets every table order on its own.
Invoicing, ready for Spain
Spanish restaurants also face Verifactu, the new invoicing rules from the tax agency. Bite2u issues Verifactu-ready tickets and invoices from the same register that takes the order, so the sale is recorded once.
What it costs
Bite2u is one flat monthly fee —$49.95 in the US, €49.95 in Europe, 49.95 CHF in Switzerland— with 0% commission per order and no long-term contract. The first 14 days are free, so you can test it with your own staff and your own customers.
