What Uber Eats costs a restaurant
In the United States, Uber Eats offers restaurants three marketplace plans that, since March 2026, charge 20%, 25% or 30% of each delivery order: the higher the plan, the more visibility in the app. On a $30 order, that is between $6 and $9 that never reaches your register, before any promotions you fund yourself.
The real alternatives
There are three. Another marketplace —DoorDash, Grubhub— works the same way: more reach, another commission. Taking orders by phone or text costs nothing, but you lose orders, mistakes creep in and nobody pays upfront. Or your own ordering channel: a menu online under your name, where the customer orders and pays and the order lands in your kitchen.
What your own channel needs
A menu people can open from a link or a QR code, online payment, a way to dispatch your own drivers or schedule pickups, and a kitchen that receives the order without retyping it. Bite2u does all of that, plus the POS for your dining room, in six languages.
Try it without leaving anything
You do not have to switch anything off on day one. Bite2u has a 14-day free trial: set up your menu, share your link with the customers you already have and compare the numbers at the end of the month. If you prefer, write to us on WhatsApp and we set it up for you at no cost.
